Read Alouds: Books With Lessons

Spread the love

I am an Elementary School Librarian and I love what I do. Thanks to covid19, I now work from home. One thing I love doing as a librarian is reading aloud to my students. Everyday, I record a new read aloud for them. I have a strong feeling there are many other children that could benefit from a librarian too! I’d love to be Your Virtual Librarian.

These books listed here are great books with wonderful lessons to discuss with your child after I have read the book. Please take the time to talk about the question I pose at the end of the video.

Any time I post a new read aloud in this genre, I will be sharing on social media and updating this post. Enjoy!

  1. Hello, fellow librarian! I work at an intermediate school. Anyway, this is great how you read books. I’m not sure how this would work for me since the books my students read tend to be longer books, but it’s definitely a great idea for the younger ones.

    1. Hi, my Librarian Friend!!! For my older kids (our school goes up to 6th grade) I’m planning on possibly reading excerpts, stating facts, or reading a chapter at a time. I’ve already started making TikTok videos and embarrassing myself thoroughly. Lol. The things I do for my students. ❤️
